The MD BoS HMIS DQ Monitoring Report is a custom report located in Business Objects. This report pairs with the MD BoS HMIS Data Quality Plan (DQP) and has been developed to assist Partner Agency HMIS PoC’s in complying with the monitoring requirements of the DQP in order to improve/maintain the quality of HMIS project data.

How to Submit Reports for DQ Monitoring Reviews

To determine if a specific project at your agency is required to submit DQ Monitoring reports refer to the Cognito ‘HMIS Data Quality Monitoring Submission Form’. After selecting your agency name on the form a list of projects at the agency will populate that are required to complete DQ monitoring submissions.
- Project names that have ‘HIC ONLY’ are Non-HMIS Participating projects
- If you believe the projects listed are not accurate, please contact the HMIS Team through the Help Desk
Section 4: Monitoring of the MD BoS HMIS Data Quality Plan outlines the monitoring process for each data quality component.
When submitting this report to the MD BoS HMIS Team as part of an official DQ Monitoring Review (outlined in the DQP) you must provide the full report:
- Tab A: Summary
- Tab B: Cumulative Results
- Tab C: Provider Results
- Tab D: Client Detail
- Tab E: Additional Information
‼️ Remember that Business Objects refreshes HMIS data each night ‼️ Meaning - edits made in HMIS today, will not be reflected in Business Objects until tomorrow.
- If you make edits to a client record in HMIS after pulling this report:
- Make sure to repull this report after the HMIS data has refreshed in Business Objects
- Review the new report
- And submit the version that reflects most up-to-date project data!
